Project Information
Project Background
This is one of the commercial layer farms in Douala Cameroon. Customer run a layer farm with deep litter system, each shed can hold 3000pcs birds. They've run the farm for almost 8 years.
Customer Requirement
The farm has a history of 8 years operation. Due to the high mortality rate, they need to find a new one with less mortality to meet the increasing of the marketing requirement.
Project Solution
After discussing with customer, we understand that customer need a solution to reduce mortality and reduce human labor. The present deep litter system cause 6-10pcs mortality and require at lest 4 workers for each shed. In the meantime, we also offer manure removal system to reduce potential risk caused by ammonia.
Equipment Details
It is an A-type layer chicken cage solution, each shed is 5,000pcs layer birds, 2 rows per shed. Feeding trolley system, auto drinking system, auto manure removal system. They only need 2 workers for egg collection. The solution can meet customer requirements of reducing human labor, in the meantime, they can reduce mortality rate.
Advantage Of The Solution
The main advantage is that the cage is that it can reduce the mortality of the bird, after the cage system installed, they report that no mortality like before, allows the farm produce more eggs, bring more profits. The feeding trolley system can reduce feed waste, the manure removal system can keep the shed clean, so that less hazard to the bird caused by ammonia.
